Green Efficiency Factor

Sustainable, efficient, and cost–effective building design are all part of SPAN Group´s forward-looking approach to real estate development.

This synergistic and comprehensive approach to project management results in buildings that have maximized their potential to perform in every respect. From the earliest stages of design, to the construction phase, to the strategic management of your project, a green building program (such as LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – see below) creates a synchronized effort in achieving Intelligent, High-Performance, Low-Impact Buildings.

In addition to the obvious environmental benefits of implementing green building practices, professionals are increasingly discovering that sustainable building design has advantages across the board.

Green buildings cost less to operate because, among other things, they use less energy and water, and require less maintenance. They also have better indoor air quality because they minimize chemicals, mold and other harmful substances.

Building green demonstrates a commitment to sustainability, and building owners have the added confidence knowing that the structures built are better for the environment, healthier for occupants and save money over the long term.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – LEED®

The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design™) rating system is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. LEED provides a framework for assessing building performance and meeting sustainability goals, and emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable site development, water conservation, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality. LEED recognizes achievements and promotes expertise in sustainable building through a comprehensive system offering project certification, professional accreditation, training and practical resources. The LEED rating system has become the industry-leading process by which to document and to validate sustainable building design and construction practices.
